At least six workers sustained burn injuries after melted iron fell on them at Shitolpur Steel Factory in Sitakunda Upazila on Saturday morning.
The injured are – Shah Alam, 55, Riad Hossain, 25, Shakib Hossain, 32, Moinuddin, 25, Amzad Hossain, 40, and Mishu, 35.
Sub-Inspector Alauddin Talukdar of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost said melted iron fell on a group of workers when they were working at the factory, injuring six workers.
Of the injured, four were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition, the SI said.
