Four years ago, she first arranged an eye camp at her village in Narsingdi on her birthday. She will again take part in such a camp on this day. Today she will talk with the people at ‘Old Home’ of Barrister Amir in Kushtia from morning to evening on her birthday along with doctors about their eye problems.
After selecting old persons, who need cataract surgery, will be identified and arranging money for their operations through examining their eyes in the camp.
While talking about arranging such camp Mehreen told this correspondent, “My parents always took part in social welfare related activities. So, this practice also came into my mind. I think it is right decision to come forward for the welfare of the people rather than passing times on Facebook or other enjoyment for the celebration of birthday.”
