11th National Parliamentary election: Mehedi seeks AL nomination from Rajbari-2, people want change

Muhammad Mehedi Hasan , a young politician and Member, Sub-committee for Law of Bangladesh Awami League has been working in Rajbari-2 seat (Pangsha, Kalukhali and Baliakandi upazilas ) for a long time and has already gained popularity among the people of the constituency. Mehedi Hasan who has completed his education on law in the United Kingdom (UK) has devoted himself in the development in the area and has contributed a lot to build mosque, road, schools and other uplift works in the area . He also distributed scholarships among the meritorious students of the area. While talking to The New Nation recently he said, people of the areas have a lot of allegations and anger against existing ruling party MP Jillur Hakim and news regarding this have been published in different print and electronic media . Mehedi Hasan said, following the situation in the constituency , as a young leader people want to see him as an MP candidate from the ruling party Bangladesh Awami League and people want change for better . He further said, due to adverse impact of negative politics , people , party activists and leaders will support any candidate who will get nomination from the Bangladesh Awami League and he deserved himself as a fittest candidate .He said, Bangladesh is in the highway of development and 60 to 70 per cent people support Awami League in this constituency but due to misdeeds of few people , the image of the local Awami League as well as seating MP has been tarnished . He contributed to make a documentary on ‘Sheikh Hasina’s Durgom Pathojatra’ and it has been apprised by all.
Mehedi has been involved in students politics since his early life and even in the UK he organized Bangladeshi expatriates in favour of Awami League .
