Channel i’s Sherakontho singer Mehedi Hasan’s first solo album titled Ayna Firey has been released under the banner of Gaanchil on May 10 at a function held at Channel i office in the city’s Tejgaon area.
Noted musician Azad Rahman, singers Khalid Hasan, Shahin Samad, Basudeb Ghosh, Emon Saha, among others, were present at the album launching ceremony.
While sharing his feelings about his debut solo album Mehedi Hasan told this correspondent, “It is really a great achievement for me that my first album has been released with the hands of country’s noted singers and musicians. I am really grateful to them. I am also glad in this regard. Everybody pray for me.”
There are eight songs in Mehedi’s album. Amirul Islam, Rabiul Islam Jibon, Omar Faruk and Rubel wrote lyrics of the songs of his album. Basudeb Ghosh, Sajedur Shahed and Mehedi Hasan himself composed tunes and music of the songs.
Mehedi Hasan gave his vocal for play-back songs under the music composition of Basudeb Ghosh and Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. Hailed from Rajshahi Mehedi started his music career by the hands of Rabiul. Besides this, he was regularly practicing music in Shilpakala Academy. At national and regional levels, he got many prizes. He became second runner-up in Sherakontho 2010 contest.
