Last year three times National Film Award winner actor Riaz worked with popular TV actress and model Mehazabien Chowdhury in a play.
In the beginning of this year, they again worked together in a play titled Kaan Petey Roi. Matia Banu Shuku gave direction of the play which script was also written by her.
Shooting of the play was wrapped up in a house in the city’s Uttara area on Tuesday. Zara is a disabled person but her talent does not create barrier for her works. She works as a RJ in a radio station. On the other hand, Farhan has returned from outside the country who earlier had a relationship with a foreigner. But he could not tie the nuptial knot with the foreign lady. After returning country when he heard the voice of Zara he started to like her. At one stage, he wants to stand behind disabled Zara. But Zara avoids him. However, Zara’s personality impresses Farhan later. Story of the play continues.
While sharing his feelings to work in the play Kaan Petey Roi Riaz told this correspondent, “For the first time, I have worked under Matia Banu Shuku Apa’s direction. It is much organised work. Script is really excellent. After long time I have worked in a romantic story based play. I have enjoyed a lot. Mehazabien has improved her acting skill from previous time. So we have enjoyed.”
Mehazabien shared her feelings by this way, “Riaz Bhai is a talented and top class actor. While working with him he cooperated me a lot that he couldn’t understand me I was working such a reputed actor in the play. Earlier I worked under the script of Shuku Apa but it was my first work under her direction. She works very sincerely and cordially that the actors always feel good while taking part in shooting. I am very much optimistic about the play.”
Matia Banu Shuku informed that the play Kaan Petey Roi will be aired on ATN Bangla at 10:55pm on January 19. If the play airs it it will be first aired play of Riaz and Mehazabien as a pair. Their acted another play Kawshik Shankar Das directed play Ek Je Chhilo Rajkonnya yet not aired but its director also informed it will be aired on Channel i soon.
