With the story written by eminent novelist Rebeya Khatun, Ekushey Award winner veteran actor, playwright and director Abul Hayat has scripted and directed an Eid-special telefilm titled Amritakkhar.
Along with the audience-admired actors Irfan Sazzad and Mehazabien Chowdhury in central roles, Shirin Alam and Abul Hayat have also acted in the telefilm.
Shooting of the telefilm has already been completed recently at a shooting house in the city’s Uttara area recently. Irfan and Mehazabien have portrayed the roles of Zafar and Julekha in the story set in the ‘80s and ‘90.
While talking about making the telefilm Abul Hayat told this correspondent, “Every Eid, I produce a telefilm with a story of Rabeya Khatun, and keeping up with this trend, I have made this telefilm. Irfan has earlier worked under my direction and he acts very well.”
“This is the first time Mehazabien has acted under my direction. Earlier we acted together in several projects and I found out her to be a talented actress. The main thing is that she can act very natural. Overall, both the artistes have made this project successful with their acting,” he also said.
Irfan said, “This is my third venture in Abul Hayat’s direction. He narrates the story of the telefilms so well that the acting gets easier. When Mehazabien is my co-actress, I feel very comfortable in my position of acting. I also believe the output of the work likely to be outstanding.”
Mehazabien shared her feelings by this way, “I really liked the story which is set against the backdrop of ‘80s and ‘90s. I have acted under Abul Hayat’s unique direction for the first time. I always found Irfan Sazzad as a helpful co-artiste. Overall, we have done a well-ordered work.”
Abul Hayat also informed that the telefilm Amritakkhar will be aired on Channel i during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
