A meeting has been held in Chitalmari with the Heads of educational institutions to prevent child marriage. The resistance meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad meeting room on Thursday.
Heads of 4 colleges, one school and college, 31 secondary schools, one lower secondary school, 3 technical, 3 Dakhil Madrasas, one Alim Madrasa, 111 primary schools and 50 Qawmia Madrasas were present at the meeting.
Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Liton Ali presided over the meeting while Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral was present as chief guest.
Upazila Awami League president Babul Hossain Khan, General Secretary Piyush Kanti Roy, Upazila Education Officer Aminul Islam, Secondary Education Officer Mofizur Rahman and Heads of various educational institutions spoke at the meeting on prevention of child marriages.
