A meeting on free eye care service provided in the last 3 years for the targeted marginalized group of people was held with the NGO representatives, arranged by Community Eye Hospital and CDD, supported by Sightsavers and funded by UKaid from the British people on Wednesday at NGO Forum hall room, Rangpur.
The meeting was presided by Sushanto Voumik, Chairman, Sweed Bangladesh and conducted by Faizur Rahman, Asst. Executive Director, Community Eye Hospital. Masud Rana, PIO, Sightsavers and Abdul Koddus Zahid, Asst. Coordinator, CDD presented their valuable themes on the topic. Sheikh Karim, Inclusion Officer presented that in the last 3 years the program has arranged 52 patient screening program for the targeted people and 6091 persons were served. 462 people underwent cataract surgery free of cost through the program. There were 33 NGO representatives in the meeting.
