Under the auspices of Raozan Poura Jubo League, blood group programme of the students of Sultanpur High School followed by discussion meeting was held on Saturday with Hasan Md.Rasel in the chair.
In observance of the National Mourning Month across the country , Raozan Poura Jubo League with the cooperation of Raozan Blood Bank organised the blood group program of the school students at school premises.
President of Upazila Jubo League and Panel Mayor of Raozan Pourashava Zamiruddin Parvez graced the occasion as Chief Guest. General Secretary of Poura JL Ziaul Hoque Rokan and Joint Secretary Azad Khan conducted the program .
President of School Managing Committee Nurul Amin , Upazila JL Joint Secretary Ahsan Habib Chowdhury Hasan Headmaster of the school Jamal Uddin, journalists Jahedul Alam, Taiyub Chowdhury, Abu Salek, Ziku Dutta and Tipu Sultan were present on the occasion as special guests.
2 ‘drug traders’ held in Cox’s Bazar: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested two suspected drug traders along with 933 cans of beer from Boroitoli village in Teknaf upazila early Monday.
The arrestee was identified as Md Rafiq, 27, son of Harun-or-Rashid, hailing from Chattogram and Md Salimullah, 23, son of Md Zakaria.
Tipped off, a team of Rab-7, conducted the drive in front of Baitul Mamur Jam-e Mosque around 2:55 am and arrested the duo along with the beer cans worth Tk 7.46 lakh, said a press release.
