Staff Reporter :Several local politicians and professionals sat in an informal meeting with the Indian High Commissioner Pankaj Saran at his Gulshan residence on Thursday night. Of them, Information Minister and JSD President Hasanul Hoque Inu, Prime Minister’s Special Envoy and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad, among others, passed about two hours [from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.] with the Indian envoy. The topic of the meeting could not be known immediately. It was learnt that the guests also joined a dinner party there hosted by the Pankaj Saran.The pro-government politicians met Indian High Commissioner at a time when diplomats of western block were holding a meeting with the BNP leaders.
