Students of general medical and dental colleges of the country have protested blocking the Shahbagh intersection in the capital demanding a session jam-free medical year.
Around 300 hundred protesters of different medical and dental colleges took to the streets around 11.30 am and staged the demonstration, blocking the city’s most important Shahbagh avenue on Sunday.
As a result, Vehicular movement at the key points of city remained suspended which disrupted over all communications in the Kantaban and Shahbagh and Banglamotor area for long time. Protesters demand to restart online classes for next higher levels as soon as possible, give an alternative to professional examinations during the coronavirus pandemic.
The demonstrators also said they are unwilling to sit for professional exams as the coronavirus situation was worsening.
