UNB, Comilla :A medical college student was found dead at the house of her in-laws at Shashidal village in Brahmanpara upazila on Friday night.The deceased was identified as Umme Aiman Swarna, 20, a 3rd year student of Comilla Eastern Medical College and daughter of Dr MA Khalek of the village.Khorshed Alam, elder brother of the victim, said without consent of the parents, Swarna married Imon, 26, son of Nannu Mia of the village one year back.Being informed by local people that Swarna wasstrangulated to death by her in-laws, they went there and found the body lying on the bed around 10 pm, he said.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy. The body bore injury marks in the neck, said Farhad Hossain, sub-inspector of Brahmanpara Police Station.Police suspected that Swarna’s in-laws might have strangled her and left the body there.However, police could not arrest anyone as the house inmates managed to flee the scene.
