State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said that medical services will be increased in hospitals across the country in the greater national interest.
“A healthy nation is essential for overall development of the country. Under the leadership of Prime minister Sheikh Hasina, the government is working relentlessly to build a healthy nation……., ” he said this recently while speaking at the closing ceremony of special orientation course for BCS health cadres at National Academy for Planning and Development in the city.
Farhad said people of the country frequently go abroad for treatment and spent huge amount of money. If they get proper medical services and better treatment in the country it will discourage them to go abroad and huge amount of money will be saved.
The use of advanced technology will have to be ensured in the medical sector of the country to provide better service to the patients, he added.
Additional Director General of National Academy for Planning and Development A A M Nasihul Kamal also took part in the discussion with Director General of the academy Mohammed Abul Kashem in the chair.
