A medical college student was found dead at Chatrashwari Road under Chawkbazar thana in the city on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Akram,26, a fourth year student of Chittagong Medical College Hospital and a resident of Belabo upazila in Narshingdi district.
Local people spotted the body of Akram lying on the road behind the hostel of CMCH at about 7:30 pm and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for an autopsy. Officer-in-charge of Chawkbazar Police Station Atiq Ahmed said it would be clear whether it was murder or suicide after getting autopsy report.
Two drug traders held with ganja in Rangamati: Police in a drive arrested two drug traders with ganja from a market of Tabalchhari under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday night.
The arrestees are Basu Akter, 28, and Prodip Karmokar, 45.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided the market arrested the two with nine packets ganja at about 8 pm. A has been filed in this regard.
