A full-fledged medical centre, the first of its kind in forty-two years of the founding of the Jahangirnagar University, was inaugurated on Sunday.
Prof Dr Farzana Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, inaugurated the newly-constructed medical centre on the university campus.
“The foundation of a full-fledged medical centre was inevitable for all of the university families”, said the VC while inaugurating the centre.
Initially, a Taka 1.08 crore has been estimated for the construction of the medical centre. The construction began on March 23 in 2013
