The Kool-BSJA Media Cup Six-a-Side Football Tournament advanced to the quarterfinal stage on the 3rd day at the BFF Artificial Turf in Motijheel on Thursday .
Eight teams — defending champions RTV, Bangla Vision, Jamuna TV, Samoy TV, My TV, Daily Star, Dhaka Tribune and BDNews — reached the knockout phase of the tournament, exclusively for the journalists of print, electronic and on line media.
All the four quarterfinal matches will be held on Friday morning at the same venue.
Quarterfinals: RTV vs Dhaka Tribune (9:30 am), Daily Star vs BDNews (9:30 am), Jamuna TV vs Samoy TV (10:30 am) and Bangla Vision vs My TV (10:30 am).
In the day’s group matches, Bangla Vision crushed New Nation 8-0; Dhaka Tribune outclassed Channel i 6-1; RTV beat BanglaNews 2-0; Jamuna TV defeated UNB 1-0; Boishakhi TV blanked Ekattor TV 3-0; BDNews beat Dainik Bortaman 2-0.
The day’s other matches between Daily Star and Sakaler Khabor, Maasranga TV and Alokito Bangladesh, and MY TV and Independent ended in goalless draw.
Local coach of National Football team Saiful Bari Tito and former footballer Aamer Khan distributed the prizes.
