Daily Star, Dhaka Tribune, Samoy TV, My TV moved to the semifinals of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament on Friday.
In the day’s first quarterfinal, Daily Star beat bdnews24.com by 4-2 goals in the tie-breaker at the BFF Artificial Turf.
The stipulated 30-minute match ended in a goalless draw.
In the day’s second quarterfinal, Dhaka Tribune defeated RTV by two goals to nil at the second semifinal at the same venue.
In the day’s third quarterfinal, Samoy TV edged past Jamuna TV by 1-0 goals at the same venue.
In the day’s fourth quarterfinal, My TV eased past Bangla Vision by 4-0 goals at the same venue.
Fahad Mondol (Daily Star), Rohan (Dhaka Tribune), Gazi Mydul Islam (Samoy TV) and Nazmul (My TV) were adjudged the Man of the Match respectively.
Former member of Bangladesh National Football team Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu, and noted football coaches Shafiqul Islam Manik, AKM Maruful Haque distributed the prizes.
Today Dhaka Tribune will face Samoy TV in the first semifinal at 9.30 am while Daily Star will meet My TV at 10.30 am at the same venue.
