The Walton Media Cup Badminton Tournament begins today at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Inddor Stadium in Mirpur.
Blackboard and Bangladesh Badminton Federation will jointly arrange the badminton meet while Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) will be the media partner of the competition.
A total of 80 shuttlers from 20 media houses will take part in the badminton tournament.
The events of the competition are: Men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Marking the badminton tournament, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday. Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, officials of Blackboard, Bangladesh Badminton Federation and BSPA were present at the conference.
The badminton tournament will come to an end on January 20.
