National University authorities have temporarily cancelled the studentship of four accused in Sylhet’s Murari Chand (MC) college gang-rape case.
The decision was made on Monday at a meeting of the 210th syndicate of National University, confirmed MC College sources.
The four students are — key suspect Saifur Rahman (irregular student of BSS Degree (pass) course, session 2012-13), Shah Mahbubur Rahman Rony (regular student of master’s in English, session 2016-17), Rabiul Islam (regular student of BSS Degree (pass) course, session 2013-14) and Mahfuzur Rahman Masum (regular student of master’s in English, session 2017-18).
