The High Court has fixed November 1 for the next hearing on the submitted investigation report of the gang rape that took place at Murari Chand (MC) College, Sylhet, on September 25.
The bench of Justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Mohi Uddin Shamim fixed the date on Tuesday after the state lawyer Barrister Nawroz MR Chowdhury submitted the probe committee report.
The Attorney Generals office received the report on Monday.
Earlier on September 29, the High Court ordered to form probe committee over the MC College gang rape and gave 15 days to submit its report to the registrar general of the Supreme Court.
The matter was brought to the courts attention by Advocate Mohammad Misbah Uddin after he produced a newspaper report of the incident.
