Staff Reporter :The admission test for MBBS will be held on October 7, while Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) on November 4. The examinees will have to get 9 points combined in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations to apply for the admission test.The Health Ministry in a meeting on Sunday tookthe decision with Health Minister Mohammed Nasim in chair.Addressing the meeting, the minister directed all concerned to hold the admission test transparently and help improve the quality of medical education in the country.The government combined the medical and dental admission test in 2011.As of the last year’s admission test, there are 3,162 seats for the MBBS course in 29 public medical colleges and 5,325 seats for 64 private medical colleges.Nine public dental colleges have 532 seats for the BDS course and 24 private dental colleges have another 1,280 seats.
