Two persons were arrested for selling fake question papers on social media before the MBBS admission test.
The information were announced by Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque after inspection of the Arts Faculty examination centre of Dhaka University at 10:30 am.
The admission test for the MBBS course in country’s medical colleges for the academic year 2021-22 was held from 10 am to 11 am on Friday.
A total of 143,915 students applied to sit for the exam examination against 4,350 seats. The admission test was held at 57 venues in 19 centres across the country.
“I talked to the students and they said that the question was standard,” After inspection of a examination centre, Zahid Maleque said.
“All precautionary measures have been taken for the security of the test. We are monitoring social media including Facebook and WhatsApp. Two persons have already been arrested, they tried to make money by providing fake question papers. They are in jail now,” he added.
About safety measures, he said, “We always took this test very carefully. We also use digitally track cars that carried questions by utilizing sophisticated technology. Sitting in the office, one can see where the car is going, where it is stopping and where it is starting again.”
“Even where question is opened or closed, it is understood” he added.
