City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin has directed the contractors assigned in digging and re-excavation of khals and drains in city areas to complete their assignment within April next before rainy season
He directed them at a meeting arranged at City Corporation auditorium on Monday evening. He strictly instructed the CCC officials to supversise the conservancy and reexcavation work round the clock so as to complete the work before rainy season.
City Mayor also said no contractors will be excused if they fail their task in specific period. Among others, panel Mayor Nisaruddin Ahmed, chief engineer Lt. col Mohiuddin ahmed, Superintending Engineer Rafiqul Islam, Executive Engineer Monirul Huda were present in the meeting, a CCC sources said.
