A Chattogram Awami League leader yesterday cautioned the city mayor and CDA chairman against lack of coordination between them over development works that is causing public suffering. Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury, acting president of the city unit of AL, also expressed his deep concern over the issue. He along with other party leaders held a meeting with Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin and Chattogram Development Authority Chairman Abdus Salam in the CCC office.
Talking to journalists city AL Vice President Khorshed Alam Sujan said many city dwellers complained about sufferings caused by delay in implementing development works. If people blame the government for such sufferings due to their lack of coordination, it will not be acceptable by any means, Sujan quoted Mahtab as saying.
The CDA chairman and city mayor, both are the AL unit leaders, denied the allegation. The chairman said they need time for several mega projects to be completed.
