Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq has been admitted to a hospital in London.
According to the mayor’s family sources, he is now in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
Annisul has been suffering from neurological problems like dizziness and lack of balance for the last two months.
His physicians in London has diagnosed tha
the mayor has been attacked with cerebral vasculitis and prescribed steroids and other drugs for him.
Manzur-E-Mawla, former Public Relation Officer of DNCC, close to the Annisul’s family, told The New Nation yesterday, “The mayor was admitted to a hospital in London on August 13.”
“He was facing some sort of physical weakness for few months, but the disease was not identified so far. He went to London in the last week of July for a family programme. After falling sick there, he was admitted to the hospital,” Manzur-E-Mawla said.
Besides this, Mizanur Rahman, Personal Assistant to Annisul, said “The mayor is getting well. Doctors are very hopeful about his quick recovery.”
Family members urged all to pray for his early recovery.
