Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya Bir Bikram and Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain on Monday visited cyclone-affected Bhashkhali and Anwara upazilas of Chittagong district.
The ministers visited Premashia village under Bhashakhali upazila, where nearly 1,000 people marooned as the cyclone breached an embankment. Later, Maya and Mosharraf visited a coast guard camp at Anwara upazila.
During the visit, they asked local administration to send a complete report on damages to the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management.
The tropical cyclone codenamed Roanu caused massive damages 12 claiming lives of the people in Chittagong district, an official release said .
