A 20-member Bangladesh delegation led by Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya is taking part in a global conference on disaster risk reduction in Cancun, Mexico.
The ‘Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction’ began on Wednesday in Cancun aiming to enhance disaster management capacity by taking collective efforts, said an official release here on Friday.
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto inaugurated the international conference.
Nearly 5,000 representatives from across the world are taking part in the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction.
