Hashem Molla (58), a Mawal (honey collector) of village Uttar Southkhli under Sharankhola Upazila in the district returned alive after a long fighting with a Royal Bengal tiger in Sundarban forest.
The incident took place at Kokilmoni area under Sharankhola forest range in the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest on Tuesday morning.
It is reported that a team of Mawals consisted of 15 members went to Kokilmoni area of the forest about a month ago in order to collect homey from there after procuring the permits from the forest department.
