Maulana Abdul Jabbar Jahanabadi, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Qawmi Madrasa Education Board, died of old-age complications at the Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital in the city on Friday. He was 79.
Maulana Abdul Jabbar had been suffering from kidney, heart and respiratory problems for long.
He left behind three daughters and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Esha prayers on Friday.
