Matlab UZ Chairman passes away

Matlab Dakhshin Upazila Parishad Chairman and valiant freedom fighter AHM Giasuddin passed away on Thursday afternoon in a private clinic in the city.
He was 65- said his family source. He left behind wife, two sons and lots of friends and admirers to mourn his sudden death.
Family sources said, Giasuddin was feeling pain in his chest and ill for the last few days while running to and back from Dhaka several times for official works. On Thursday morning, the chest pain turned acute and he fell seriously ill at his residence in Chandpur town and was rushed to Chandpur General Hospital from where he was referred to DMCH. On the way, he was again checked up at Matlab Dakhshin Upazila Health Complex by the doctors.
Then he was rushed to Dhaka Square Hospital where the on duty doctor ,after examining him thoroughly, declared him dead at 2.40 pm.
The death news came as a bolt from the blue to the people of Matlab Dakhshin and Uttar Upazilas. However, his first janaja will be held at Matlab High School’s New hostel playground and then at his home at Uttar Baishpur area in Matlab Sadar in the evening.
Meanwhile, his sudden death was condoled by the local MP Nurul Amin Ruhul, Dist AL President Nasiruddin Ahmed and General Secretary Abu Nayeem Patwary Dulal in separate condolence messages. They have also expressed deep sense of sympathy with the members of the bereaved family.
