Prothom Alo Publisher Matiur Rahman and Samakal Publisher AK Azad have been elected President and Vice-President of the Newspaper Owners Association of Bangladesh.
Daily Manab Zamin Chief Editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury was re-elected Treasurer of the new executive committee, which was formed in a meeting on June 8, says a NOAB press release.
Other members of the NOAB executive committee include The Daily Star Editor and Publisher Mahfuz Anam, Daily Ittefaq Acting Editor Tasmima Hossain, Daily Azadi Editor MA Malek, Chairman of New Age Editorial Board Shahidullah Khan Badal, The Financial Express Editor AHM Moazzem Hossain and News Today Editor Reazuddin Ahmed.
NOAB members Daily Sangbad Editor Altamash Kabir, The Independent Editor M Shamsur Rahman and Dhaka Tribune Editor Zafar Sobhan were present at the meeting.
