Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) has appointed Mohammed Abdul Matin as its new Executive Director, said a press release.
This veteran development and trade promotion expert has 42 years of experience working for national and international organizations in Bangladesh. He was Executive Director of Foreign Investor’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in Bangladesh for nine years.
Matin started his career as a banker in 1968. Since then he has worked for United Nations Children’s Fund, Bangladesh Population & Health Consortium, Plan International, ICDDR,B, NMIDP, Danish Advisory Group and Foreign Investor’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
He has extensive experience in program, administration and macro-management of development projects in public sectors. He has also collaborated with various bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors such as World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNICEF, UNCRD, FAO, UNFPA, UNDP, USAID, DANIDA and Plan International.
