The government has appointed Masud Bin Momen as the next Ambassador and Permanent Representative (PR) of Bangladesh to the United Nations, New York.
He will be replacing Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, a foreign ministry release said here on Tuesday.
Masud Bin Momen, a career diplomat, belongs to the 1985 batch of BCS (FA) cadre.
Currently he is serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan. Prior to this assignment, he had another ambassadorial assignment in Italy.
