Freedom fighter late Rajab Ali Khan 3rd National Invitational Masters Athletics competition begins tomorrow (Friday) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Secretary of Youth and Sports Affairs of Bangladesh Awami League Harun-ur-Rashid is expected to inaugurate the two-day meet as the chief guest at 3 pm.
Bangladesh Athletics Federation (BAF) president ASM Ali Kabir and Bangladesh Postal Department Sports Committee’s secretary Amzad Ali Khan will be present as special guests at the programme.
Bangladesh Masters Athletics Association president advocate Nooruddin Choiwdhury Nayan will preside over the opening ceremony.
About 400 male and female athletes of 50-member athlete teams from various districts, divisional sports associations, university, Bangladesh Customs, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Ansar, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation, and India’s West Bengal team will take part in the meet, orgainsed by BAF.
