Popular reality TV contestant Kishwar Chowdhury has created another unique dish inspired by Melbourne’s art scene.
In the special mystery box challenge, the contestants were asked to make a dish inspired by the beautiful city of Melbourne. Kishwar created a Kingfish Ceviche with pickled rainbow vegetables and angry red chili jam. The Masterchef contestant created this dish upon her fond memories in the National Gallery of Victoria. Kishwar said, “I am a Melbourne girl and this is my home. I am inspired by the art scene here. So I head straight to National Gallery of Victoria because of the fond memories of going there as a child. No matter what exhibition we had just visited, we would run outside and put our hand on that water window. So, I really wanted to capture that today. The reflection from the glass is creating a beautiful rainbow. I have my money shot. It almost looks like a fish jumping out of the water. And I can’t wait to recreate this on the plate.” The judges were impressed by Kishwar’s unique plating.
