BRU 13th Founding Anniversary: Master plan drawn up for education, research and development

In the 13 years since the establishment of Begum Rokeya University (BRU), the desired development may not have been possible due to various limitations. However, whatever the problem, it will be solved on priority basis from within the rules. Various steps have already been taken in this regard. A master plan has been drawn up for the development of education, research and physical infrastructure of the university. BRU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Hasibur Rashid said these things at the thirteenth founding anniversary discussion as the chief guest on Tuesday.
The Vice-Chancellor said that students are the lifeblood of the university. Considering their future, all kinds of academic and administrative activities, including class-exams, continue online at the university in the event of a global epidemic. All class-examinations have been taken online as per government guidelines. By continuing this trend of academic activities, the university will be free from session clutter in the shortest possible time with the help of all concerned including teachers and students. He said the university will be reopened as soon as possible even if online education activities continue. Preparations have been made to open a residential hall.
 On the occasion of the founding anniversary, the Vice-Chancellor wished all concerned including teachers, students and officials and employees, adding that the students of the university, which was established on this day in 2006, have been successful at various stages of their education. He hoped that the university would contribute to maintaining harmony and equality with the advancing world in various fields of higher education and creating and expanding opportunities for higher education, research, modern learning and teaching at the national level.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Sarifa Salwa Dinner presided over the dinner and the student advisor Md. Nurzzaman Khan was the keynote speaker. Abu Saleh Mohammad Wadudur Rahman (Tuhin Wadud) and Proctor Md. Golam Rabbani delivered the welcome speech. Deans of different faculties, heads of departments, teachers-students, officials and student leaders took part in the discussion.
