The inaugural function of ‘Master of Actuarial Science (MAS)’ at the Department of Banking and Insurance of Dhaka University was held recently at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban auditorium. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique formally inaugurated this program as chief guest.
Chairman of the Department of Banking and Insurance and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam presided over the function.
Dr Arefin Siddique thanked the Department of Banking and Insurance for taking initiative to introduce MAS program at the university. He stressed the need for further expansion of this program to produce skilled manpower as well as develop insurance sector in the country.
