Speakers at a workshop on Thursday underlined the importance of creating awareness among the people of the disastrous areas in the country.
Awareness among the people is a must to face the challenges during the natural disasters. Collective efforts can play an important role to do it.
The speakers said this at a workshop titled “Local Media Actor to Bring the Humanitarian Issues in Print and Electronic Media” organised by Dhaka Ahsania Mission.
Joint Editor of Alokito Bangladesh Kazi Ali Reza gave the welcome speech while Jonit-Secretary of Jatiya Press Club Elias Khan was present at the programme as the special guest.
Head of CC and DRR of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Md Jahangir Alam and Chinmoy Mutsuddu presented papers on different aspects of natural and human create disaster.
