Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team (ODI and T20i) Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has been suffering from dengue fever since Thursday last. He has been admitted at the Apollo Hospital in the city.
Physician of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Dr Debashish Chowdhury said, ” Mashrasfe Bin Mortaza was hospitalized with high fever on Friday.”
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was scheduled to arrive at Khulna to take part for Khulna Division against Rangpur Division in the National Cricket League. Murad Khan has been replaced of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. It may be mentioned that his son Sahel has been suffering from dengue fever for a last few days.
Mashrafe, whose previous international game was in mid-July, has been taking part in the training sessions to get back into the longer-version cricket and has also hoped that he would get chance to play for Bangladesh in Test cricket, a format he last played in 2009. He played in the longer-version first class cricket in January 2014.
