UNB, Dhaka :
Bangladesh National Cricket team ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza suffered a minor ankle injury during Comilla Victorians’ (a BPL team) practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) here on Friday.
According to physicians, Mashrafe’s injury is not so much serious and it will not prevent Narail Express from taking the field on the opening day match of the 3rd Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Comilla Victorians.
Mashrafe also showed a confidence to lead his side in the first match, despite the risk remains there.
The battles of the franchise based six-team BPL 3rd version, opened on Friday in a colourful function at the SBNCS, starting on Sunday.
Amid the doubt, Mashrafe is expected to lead Comilla Victorians against Dhaka Dynamites in an opening day match of the tournament.
