Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza became the most successful ODI captain following his side’s 91-run victory over Zimbabwe in the triangular series.
The Narail express was already tagged the best captain in Bangladesh’s cricket history and Tuesday’s victory against Zimbabwe placed him at the top of the list of captains’, who has the most number of winning record as captain of Bangladesh.
The speedster overtopped former Bangladesh’s captain Habibul Bashar, who secured 29 victories leading Bangladesh as captain in 69 matches. With the victory against Zimbabwe Mashrafe overtook Bashar with 30 wins from 53 matches.
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is in third place. The all-rounder, who was recently named as Tigers’ Test captain, had 23 wins from 50 matches as Bangladesh skipper.
Mashrafe , who took Bangladesh into the quarterfinal stage in World Cup and also led his side into the Champions Trophy in the semifinal, has a highest winning percentage of 58.82 as captain followed by Habibul Bashar with 42.02 while Shakib with 46.93.
