Sports Reporter :
Captain of Bangladesh National Cricket (ODI) Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has sympathy for Soumya Sarkar and Taskin Ahmed as they were not included in the Bangladesh ODI squad.
Mashrafe said, ” I feel unwell for Soumya Sarkar and Taskin Ahmed. They failed to perform well in the recently concluded South Africa series. But as a Captain I respect Soumya Sarkar. He never played selfishly. Specially an opener has to face tough task in the first ten overs. In that time some players play for himself. But Soumya never did that. Taskin’s matter is similar to Soumya. Taskin had to bowl in the tough condition of the recently concluded South Africa series.”
Soumya Sarkar and Taskin Ahmed are now playing in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL).
Mashrafe hopes Soumya and Taskin will return to the Bangladesh National Cricket team after performing well in the BCL.
