Staff Reporter :Noted actor and play director Abul Hayat’s written and Rahmat Ali directed Martyred Intellectuals’ Day special play titled Suchona was staged at the main auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha area recently.While talking about the play its playwright Abul Hayat said, “Basically main story of the play revolves with a woman freedom fighter and her three close friends. In the story of the play, we can find separate stories of four persons. Not only the woman was a freedom fighter but also her three friends were also freedom fighters because they were somehow involved with the liberation war. With the concept of trial of war criminals story of the play gets momentum. Everybody performed well from their own point. What I have written made a new dimension under the direction of Rahmat Ali.”It was 14th stage presentation of play Suchona. It was first staged on March 25 in 2012. Mita Chowdhury acted in role of a woman freedom fighter, while Wahida Mollick Jolly, Chitralekha Guho and Naznin Hasan Chumki also acted in roles of her friends in the play.
