Markets, transports main sources of corona transmission

The number of people infected and dying from corona virus has been increasing day by day in the country. The reasons for this rise are various factors including lack of public awareness and indifference to hygiene.
According to the government’s Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), the highest number of corona infections is from the markets and public transports.
It is said that there is about 61 percent risk of corona infection from the market and public transport.
On the other hand, the risk of spreading corona from public crowd places is about 35 percent.
According to the IEDCR statement, the data was obtained by reviewing the total data of about eight and half thousand corona infected patients from March 5 to April 5.
According to the research, 61 percent of the identified patients have an experience of going to market and using public transport.
Apart from this, IEDCR has said that there is a risk of getting infection with corona from other places including meetings and seminars.
The IEDCR study also noted that corona is spreading through gathering in public places, places of prayer and worship, travel from one division to another, healthcare centers, tourist spots and participation in various social events.
Meanwhile, new highest deaths have been recorded across the country in corona virus.
On Saturday, the reported 77 Covid-19 deaths, the highest history of the country in a single day, raising the total toll in the country to 9,661.
According to the government statement, on Saturday the detected rose to 678,937 as 5,343 more cases were reported in the last 24 hours, said a press release of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today.
Earlier on last Thursday, the country reported 74 Covid-19 deaths, then the highest number of deaths in a single day.
