Maritime ports asked to show signal 3

The Meteorological Office asked the Maritime ports to hoist Number Three signals as local cautionary measures.
The Met office on Saturday released bulletin in which it asked Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra Maritime Ports to hoist the signal saying there are possibilities of stormy winds as a low pressure created in neighbouring Indian Andhra and Odisha provinces coast.
In this situation, the Met office warned that a strong
storm might be created in the Bay of Bengal which might cross Bangladesh Maritime Ports.
It advised fisheries ships, trawlers and boats to drive with awareness near the coast until release of the next notifications.
The notice said the stormy winds may cross over the Bay area with the speed of hourly 40-50 kilometres.
It may affect the Maritime ports and the ships staying there.
Earlier on May 30, cyclone Mora left at least seven people dead and damaged nearly 60,000 houses, displacing around 56,000 families when it hit the coastal areas of Bangladesh.
