Mario Lemos new interim Head Coach of BD Football team

Mario Lemos is the new interim Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team. Bangladesh Football team will take part in training sessions under supervision of Mario Lemos. Earlier, Mario Lemos was the Head Coach of Dhaka Abahani Limited. Bangladesh team will prepare them under the coaching of Mario Lemos for the upcoming Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy, which is scheduled to be held at Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka.
After the Tri-Nation Football Tournament, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) changed the Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team. The BFF made Oscar Bruzon as the interim Head Coach, who was the replacement of Jamie Day. Bangladesh Football team took part in the SAFF Championship under the supervision of Oscar Bruzon, the Head Coach of Bashundhara Kings. Mario Lemos acted as the Fitness Coach of Bangladesh Football team. Later, he was the Head Coach of Dhaka Abahani Limited. Vice-President of BFF Kazi Nabil Ahmed said, ” Lemos has been working here for some years. So, he has idea about all the players of Bangladesh. Besides, Abahani emerged the champions of the Federation Cup Football under his supervision. Abahani also got success in the AFC Club Cup. For this reason we have chosen him.”
He said, ” Lemos is now staying in South Korea. He will come soon. The coaching camp will start from October 25. I hope Bangladesh will get success in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh did not get success in Maldives as the luck did not favour them. We failed to reach the final as our fate did not support us. We reached on the brink of success.”
A total of four teams will compete in the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy. The first phase of the tournament will be held on Single League basis. Two top teams will play in the final.
The Four-Nation Football Tournament will start from November 8. Bangladesh will face Seychelles in their first match on November 8, Bangladesh will take on Maldives in their second match on November 11, Bangladesh will meet Sri Lanka in their last league match on November 14. The final will take place on November 17.
