Dhaka Mariner Young’s Club notched up an emphatic 9-1 win against Ajax Sporting Club in the super-5 match of the Green Delta Insurance Metropolis Premier Division Hockey League at Maulana Bhashani National Stadium on Monday.
Hasan Jubayer Niloy scored three field goals in the 9th, 46th and 67th minutes for the winners.
Mohsin Ahmed fired the net first by a field goal in the 7th minute while Moinul Islam Kowshik, Parampreet Singh, Pushkar Khisha Mimo, Nayeem Uddin and Azizul Islam struck one field goal each in the 13th, 29th, 46th, 63rd and 69th minute respectively.
Hridoy Anas scored a penalty corner goal in the 61st minute for the losing side.
In another super league match on the day, Abahani Ltd got a 3-2 goal victory against Mohammedan Sporting Club at the same venue.
Roman Sarkar struck two field goals in the 20th and 61st minutes after Tajuddin Ahmed firing the net in the very 2nd minute by a field goal for the winners.
Gurjinder Singh scored one field goal and one penalty corner goal in the 9th and 38th minutes for the losing team.
