Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club and Abahani Limited posted wins in their respective matches of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League on Friday.
In the day’s first match, Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club blanked Azad Sporting Club by 8-0 goals at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.
Arshad Hossain of Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club scored four goals and his teammates Mamunur Rahman Chayan, Sohanur Rahman, Raju Ahmed Tapu, Mainul Islam Koushik successfully struck one time each on the board.
In the day’s second match, Abahani Limited beat Sonali Bank by 4-3 goals at the same venue.
Toshik Arshad, Romman Sarkar, Shakil Abbasi, Md Irfan of Abahani Limited scored one goal each.
On the other hand, Taher Ali, Toshik Ahmed, Ihsan Ullah Khan of Sonali Bank netted one goal each.
