Maria expects competitive final against Nepal

Bangladesh national women’s football team’s vice captain Maria Manda said they are expecting another competitive match against hosts Nepal in final of the SAFF Women’s Championship.
Bangladesh will take on Nepal in the final scheduled to be held on Monday (Sept 19) at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu.
“‘We’ll play competitive match and want to fight in the final… the rest of the Almighty’s will … we will continue our fight in the final, Maria said to the pressmen after the team’s practice session was held on Saturday at Army Headquarters Ground,” Maria said to pressmen.
Asked to comment about her feeling after winning the semifinal against Bhutan, Maria said she feels very good as her team have reached this stage playing good brand of football in the group phase matches in the semifinal. Upbeat Maria said they would carry out the same performance in the final match.
When asked about the team’s present condition, the vice captained said all are fit for the final but one or two of her teammates received little injury after Bhutan match, but at the same time she hoped that they would recover and fit before the final match.
Center back Masura Parvin said: “We want to become champion and give maximum effort to win the title. Nepal also reached final after beating India and they (Nepal) are also strong team, but we are prepared to give our best effort in the final.”
Bangladesh managed to maintain their defense line unhurt and did not concede any goal in their group phase matches and in the semifinal.
Commenting about it Masura said from the beginning of the tournament the team’s initial target was not to concede any goal and by the grace of Allah it has been possible to keep the target.
