March 25 declared ‘Mass Killing Day’

The government has officially declared March 25 as ‘Mass Killing Day’, marking the widespread killings by Pakistani Army on the unarmed Bengalis on the
 black night of March 25, 1971.
“The government has decided to observe March 25 as the ‘Mass Killing Day’,” said a PID handout.
A gazette notification was issued in this regard by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday, it added.
On February 15, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said March 25 is certainly a Mass Killing Day and underscored the need for pursuing different international organisations to get its international recognitions.
Later on March 11, Parliament unanimously adopted a resolution to observe March 25 as Mass Killing Day.
On Monday, the Cabinet approved a proposal to observe March 25 as Mass Killing Day.
